Jennifer Finch, the powerhouse bassist of L7 during the band’s creative peak in the 1990s, has died. That, according to her Instagram account. She was 59. A social media post from the band today noted Finch waged “a long courageous fight with brain cancer.

At the time of its release, the film failed to find its audience and was considered a commercial box-office flop, but over the years, it has gained cult-classic status and developed a devoted following — particularly among queer horror fans.

Days after L7 announced that its bassist Jennifer Finch was battling "an aggressive form of brain cancer," the rock band shared she passed away on July 18 at the age of 59.
